Privacy

Short version: I run a small photography business, not an advertising company. I collect as little as I can get away with, and you can turn the measuring off at the bottom of any page.

What is collected

Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager. Which pages get read, how people arrive, roughly where in the world they are, and whether anybody gets as far as the contact form. It is set to deny by default in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland until you say otherwise, and the banner asks everyone else too. No names, no email addresses, and nothing you type into a form is ever sent to it. When the Micro Wedding Planner reports that somebody finished a plan, it sends the four answers it was given, like “Brooklyn” and “summer”, and nothing that could point back to a person.

Microsoft Clarity. The same picture from a different angle: which parts of a page people actually read, and where a layout is getting in the way. It runs under the same consent as the analytics above, so declining turns it off.

Resend. When you send the contact form or ask for the guide, Resend delivers that email to me and the confirmation to you. It holds your name, your address and what you wrote, because that is the message. If you ask for the guide, your address also goes on the list that the guide is sent from, and every email I send carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click.

The server. My host keeps ordinary web server logs, which include IP addresses, for a short time. That is how the forms are kept from being flooded by bots.

What is not collected

I do not sell anything to anybody, I do not run advertising, and I do not build a profile of you across other websites.

How to stop it

Press Decline on the banner at the bottom of the page and nothing is measured. If you accepted and changed your mind, clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the question comes back.

To come off the guide list, use the unsubscribe link at the foot of any email I have sent you. To have me delete the message you sent through the contact form, write to me and I will.
