Weddings photographed by Wannelove

Weddings

A full day, photographed and filmed by one person.

  • Photo $4,500
  • Photo and Video $7,500 Booked separately, a photographer and a videographer in New York come to roughly $10,000 to $12,000.
  • Full, with drone where airspace and venue permit $9,500
  • Second shooter, if you want one $900 An option you add, not an assumption. Most days do not need one and I will say so.

Drone is not possible inside New York City, where city rules and controlled airspace rule it out. It is available in the Hudson Valley, Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey and abroad, where the venue permits it.

Questions

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book nine to fourteen months out. I take a limited number of weddings a year, so peak Saturdays in autumn and late spring go first. If your date is closer than that, ask anyway, because dates open up.

How many photographs do we get?

A full day usually comes to six hundred or so edited images. I do not cap it and I do not hold any back to sell later. You get every frame worth keeping.

When do they arrive?

A short preview within 24 to 48 hours, and the full gallery within two weeks. If your wedding falls in the busiest part of the season I will tell you the real date before you book rather than after.

How does the deposit and payment work?

A third holds the date, a third is due a month before, and the last third a week after delivery. The first payment is what reserves the day and it is not refundable, because the date comes off my calendar.

When do we need a second shooter?

When the two of you are getting ready in different places, when the guest count is past about a hundred and fifty, or when the venue is large enough that two rooms matter at once. I will say honestly if I think you do not need one.

Do you travel outside New York?

Often. Travel outside New York is quoted per event and at cost, so you have the figure in front of you before you book rather than on an invoice afterwards. I book it myself once the date is held. For anywhere outside the United States I need the date at least six months ahead.

Can you fly a drone at our wedding?

Not inside New York City. City rules and controlled airspace make it impossible, and anyone telling you otherwise is flying illegally. Outside the city, in the Hudson Valley, Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey and abroad, it is usually fine as long as the venue agrees.

What happens if it rains?

I shoot anyway. Rain is not the disaster it feels like the week before, and covered porches, windows and umbrellas tend to produce the photographs people keep. I carry what I need to work wet.
