How We Met in New York

Not a posed engagement shoot in front of the same bridge as everyone else. Your story, in the places where it actually happened.

What the planner gives you

  1. Your storybook

A first draft of your story in six pages, from how you met to the next chapter. Every line is yours to rewrite.

  2. Your two stations

Where it started, the walk through your neighborhood, and the place that feels most like yours.

  3. The moments

What I would photograph at each place, and the few seconds of each one I would film.

  4. The light

When to start, so the walk lands in the best light of the day.

Six questions, nothing saved, and at the end you can send me the whole plan.

What comes after

  1. Your session

Photos and a short film of your story.

  2. Your credit

The full $650 goes toward your wedding if you book within 6 months, or $250 toward an elopement or City Hall wedding.

  3. Your wedding

By then we already know each other, and I know your story.

Questions

We met on a dating app. Does this still work?

Of course. Most couples in New York did. We start where your story really began: your first date, the bar where you talked until closing, the walk home after.

Our apartment is small. Is that a problem?

Not at all, small spaces make some of the most intimate photos. And if home really does not work, your second place can be anywhere that is yours: your regular bar, the record store, your rooftop, the climbing gym.

Can you photograph inside a restaurant or bar?

Usually yes, if we go at a quiet time and ask ahead. If you are regulars there, it is even easier. I will help you plan it.

What if it rains?

We move the outdoor part to another day, or we lean into it. Rain in New York looks good on film. Your home part happens either way.

Do we need to be engaged?

No. Engaged, married, or just in love. If you book your wedding with me later, the session is credited toward it.

How does the credit work?

If you book your wedding within 6 months of your session, the full $650 goes toward it. For an elopement or City Hall wedding, $250 goes toward it.
